There is something so playful about wildflowers. They’re dainty and bright, and come in so many unique shapes. They’re carefree—and above all—they’re sure to put a smile on your face. Wildflowers remind us of picking flowers as a kid, as well as the sheer beauty of this earth we live on.

All this to say, when Ray and Danny expressed that they had been dreaming up a wildflower wedding, we were totally on board.

The bouquets included dahlias, strawflower, goldenrod, cosmos, scabiosa, and zinnias. So many flowers that we associate with summertime in Missouri. We were able to source many of the blooms from local farmers, which added an even sweeter local touch to this boho-chic wedding day.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony took place outside in front of a 200+ year old sycamore tree at Sycamore Creek Family Ranch in Branson, Missouri. The venue offers some seriously incredibly views, and a beautiful outdoor ceremony location with a wooden arbor and unique rustic bench seating for guests.

The Reception

The reception looked like a wildflower wonderland inside Sycamore Creek’s pristine Heartwood Barn. We built a large, 20 foot hanging wildflower garden installation to hang perpendicular to the long family-style head table. The bright pops of pink, yellow, and blue hues carried the playful wildflower aesthetic all the way through the barn.

The tables had three different types of centerpieces to create visual interest throughout the room. Tall centerpieces towered over the tables, arrangements from the ceremony aisles were brought inside to work double time as lovely mid-size centerpieces, and clusters of bud vases with dancing blooms adorned the last of the guest tables.

The talented Abby Mitchell of Hired Hostess Event Co. put together adorable place settings featuring pressed flowers under glass chargers. Seriously… they are so perfect and cheerful!

Although summertime has faded away, we love looking back at this beautiful wedding allowing these bright blooms to warm us up a bit. Oh wait no, I guess that warm feeling is our slippers and oversized sweatshirts as the cold weather officially sets in.

If you’re looking to warmer wedding days ahead, we hope you’ll find some inspiration in this whimsical wildflower wedding celebration.
