We’ve been fortunate to do a lot of special weddings for people near and dear, but it felt especially meaningful to create florals for my (Alex) sister’s wedding over the summer.

Kaley is a lover of all things bold and vibrant, and we had so much fun selecting all the colorful berry tone flowers for her big day. The bridesmaids were in different styles and colors of dresses ranging from blush to deep purple and the flowers followed suit. We included luxurious deep red garden roses, lavender roses, pink and burgundy scabiosa, dark purple scabiosa, and a variety of locally grown blooms like dahlias, cosmos, celosia, zinnias, and yarrow.

The Ceremony Space

Inside The Kansas City Room at 28 Event Space, the walls are covered with floor to ceiling champagne drapery, which is a pretty fun look. To spruce up their ceremony site, we built two large floral pillars with lots of garden-like greenery growing upwards, and textural flowers (Many locally grown!) in reds, pinks, mauves, and purples.

The Reception Space

Guest tables featured centerpiece arrangements and collections of bud vases with the same juicy vibrant blooms. We especially loved the huge magenta zinnias paired with the deep dark ranunculus and scabiosas. These garden-inspired arrangements were truly and honor to create for such a special occasion.
